Do you want a trip that is truly magnificent and promised to be memorable? Then go to Japan and experience the culture, tradition, food, and landmarks that are truly unique and definitely will be worth your visit. This article will describe to you some of the greatest places to see in Japan and why you should go there.

In case you are not yet familiar with it, Japan is an archipelago located in the far eastern side of Asia. It is located east of China and above Taiwan. Japan’s shores face the China Sea and the great Pacific Ocean. It has an estimated population of over 127 million scattered all over its 6,852 islands.

Listed below are some of the best places to visit in Japan almost all year round.

Mt. Fuji

This magnificent mountain is actually an active volcano that stands at 12,389 feet above see level. It is the highest point in Japan. It is so beautiful that most foreigners would immediately imagine Mt. Fuji whenever the word ‘Japan’ crosses their minds. But if you think the only thing that you can do there is to look at its grandeur, then you are definitely mistaken. You can climb this giant, in fact there were an estimated 300,000 people who did the same in 2009. It is best to go in groups to better enjoy the hike and the scenery.

Itsukushima Shrine

It is popularly known as Miyajima. It is a Shinto shrine that can be found on the Itsukushima island. The shrine has been designated as a National Treasure by the Japanese government and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This shrine is actually a complex with the first of its establishments erected in the 6th century. It is a unique sight to see because it was built on the bay so that it would appear to be floating in the sea.

Hot springs in Japan

Do you want to get rid of stress by relaxing in a natural hot spring? Japan has hundreds of these springs scattered all over the archipelago. The Japanese people call it Onsen and there are many popular and frequented springs such as: Shibu, Toyako, Minakami, Kusatsu, Ikaho, Hanamaki, Kurokawa, Kinosaki, Kirishima, Noboribetsu, and Hakone.

Cherry Blossom Festivals

If you want to think of a romantic Japan, then go for the festivities revolving on the beautiful cherry blossom trees. People set up markets and parties around these tries making it a grand celebration of sorts. There are performing arts as well as traditional Japanese foods. If you want to visit one of these festivals, it is best to go from the months of March to May.

Truly Japan is a very beautiful country that perhaps no other nation can match. From its delicious foods to its unique arts, from its technology to its old world traditions, there is always something great that Japan can offer to every tourist. Although there are other amazing places to see in Japan, the ones listed above should give you a good glimpse to the beauty of the land. If you cannot afford it, try some English speaking jobs in Japan for a change.
