Discover The Magic Of Playa Blanca In Lanzarote

There are a number of good quality holiday resorts on the popular Canary Island of Lanzarote.  But none can match Playa Blanca for the quality of both its weather and its beaches.  As this fast growing holiday destination is located right at the southern foot of the island and enjoys a very favourable microclimate as a result.  As well as boasting the most spectacular selection of beaches on the island.

If you have nevever been to Playa Blanca in the past you will not be dissapointed as the resort has plenty to offer young and old alike

Geographically Playa Blanca is basically made up of three small bays set within one much larger cove – providing plenty of shelter from the wind.  And visitors can enjoy a stroll along the seafront from one end of the resort to the other.  Thanks to the fact that it is united by a promenade that runs from the Faro de Pechuguera lighthouse through to the outer reaches of Papagayo.

Villas in Playa Blanca have become very popular with tourists over the last few years, as they offer decent value for money.  And are the best choice during the winter months when the climate here is more favourable than elsewhere on the island.

Holiday villas in Playa Blanca also often offer better value for money than in other resorts on the island – thanks to the fact that there is such a large supply here for tourists to chose from.  And all come with private pools and plenty of added extras such as Jacuzzis and internet connections.

For guests who are able to tear themselves way from the pool the resort is home to some spectacular stretches of sand.  Such as Playa Dorada, Playa Flamingo and the small town beach of Playa Blanca – from which this destination takes its name.  And the breathtaking coves and bays of Papagayo – regarded as one of the best beaches in the Canaries – are just a fifteen minute stroll away.  There´s a great selection of restaurants for visitors and Playa Blanca is also ideally located for anyone keen to visit Lanzarote´s number one tourist attraction of the Timanfaya Volcano Park.  As this is just a fifteen minute drive.

Camp In NC For A Memorable Vacation

Americans and enterprising foreigners choosing a vacation trip that makes nature the focus might consider camping in North Carolina. For those who are unfamiliar with the state, you need to know first of all that there are three identifiable regions: the mountains in the west, the Atlantic coast on the east and the Piedmont heartland. The state borders Tennessee on the west, Virginia in the north and Georgia and South Carolina in the south. Trails for hikers, bikers and horses are available. Gorges, mountains, forests, waterfalls and other scenic natural sites abound.

How to decide the camp location

As there so many options, the best way to limit the possibilities is to decide what type of camping trip you are looking for. Do you want to go traditional and rough it? Do you want showers and potable water available? Are rented cabins more suitable? Is an recreational vehicle park a consideration? Are you interested in enjoying seasonal events as well?

Helpful tips

The best tip is to research ahead of time. The computer is a useful tool to help you plan. Needless to say, the state offers resources to help you explore your options; and there are certainly many other online sites available.

Please note that if you have a mind to use objects to claim a campsite position, they are not recognized as devices to be used for this purpose in national parks. You need to set up tents. Any objects you use to make your claim will be removed.

How to find the right camp ground

There is an array of informative websites to help you find your campground of choice. General sites or specific sites like those for national and state parks or individual websites for the various camping grounds. Please keep in mind that if tent camping is your choice, there is a book that has greater detail. The book’s title is:The Best In Tent Camping: The Southern Appalachian & Smoky Mountains. It lists many known and unknown sites(depending on the prospective camper’s familiarity with the state), such as the Linville Falls Campground in Spruce Pine, NC; Camping & Cabins on Cape Lookout National Seashore in Harkers Island, NC; Mount Mitchell State Park in Asheville, NC and many other possible destinations. No matter how choosy the camper this book illustrates that there are savory offerings available.

Enjoying your experience in North Carolina to the fullest

With a little preparation and planning, camping in North Carolina can be the family trip experience that creates great memories.

Fantastic Scotland Vacations And Stranraer, Dumfries & Galloway

Scotland is a superior place in which to take a vacation. The country is suitable for an extensive list of diverse vacations, with extensive areas of beautiful countryside with abundant amounts of sites of outstanding natural beauty (perfect for ramblers, mountain climbers, hikers, hill-walkers and the likes). The nation also has some of the most popular visitor attractions, including, some of the most interesting galleries and museums in the British Isles, magnificent sites, country houses, fortified houses, historical buildings and castles plus much more. Below I examine the port of Stranraer.

The town of Stranraer is located in Dumfries and Galloway in the south of Scotland, the town is renowned for being the place where you can catch a ferry to Belfast in Northern Ireland. Unfortunately the larger number of visitors fail to see some of the attractions in the surrounding countryside and the town itself. This fact is something of an enigma, if you arrive at the town, and reserve yourself a room in a bed and breakfast in Stranraer, a day or two earlier you can see some of the attractions before embarking to Northern Ireland and the city of Belfast.

There are a couple of things to see and do in the town of Stranraer including the Castle of St John found in the centre of the town. The tower house was constructed at the very beginning of the sixteenth century as a residence for Ninian Adair of Kilhurst, the Laird of Wigtownshire. It was renovated, in the year nineteen eighty eight/eighty nine, by Wigtown District Council who opened it to the public in nineteen ninety.

Another tourist attraction close to the port of Stranraer is the gardens at Castle Kennedy. The castle is the centrepiece of the garden which are foundon a hill between 2 lochs (unfortunately you are not allowed to visit the ruins. The castle’s landscaped gardens extend across an area of seventy five acres. If you would like you can purchase plants from the shop which has grown them from seeds and plants in the garden gardens.

A further gorgeous visitor attraction is Glenluce Abbey. Even though it is ruined (actually the most ruinous of 3 of Cistercian monasteries found in the southwest of Scotland) it also has an excellent fifteenth-century Chapter House. Other places worth taking the effort to visit include, the Machars, the Mull of Galloway, Portpatrick and Port Logan.

If you are thinking about taking a Stranraer vacation you will be pleased to discover that there is a reasonable selection of Stranraer hotels. Please take a look at our comprehensive listings of Stranraer hotels and guest house accommodation.

Incredible Vacations And The City Of York

Increasing numbers of folk are choosing to take local vacations this coming year. For most of us it is to cut costs but is this the decision of the wise or a terrible mistake? Often we fail to see the large number of local tourist attractions and yet they are often excellent and much better than those we see elsewhere. People resident in the UK have a fantastic choice of vacation destinations all of which have a growing collection of first class visitor attractions to visit. In this article I introduce the English city of York and hotel accommodation in York.

York is found in the English county of Yorkshire and was, once, the capital city of a huge kingdom covering most of the north of England. In such an ancient city it will not come as a great surprise to discover a huge selection of immensely medieval buildings, but you may not expect the awesome sight of the twelfth century Gothic York Minster.

The first incarnation of York Minster was a small wooden construction in which King Edwin of Northumbria was, in 627, baptised. It wasn’t until the eleventh century that the earliest substantial building made from stone appeared on the site. Constructed by the Norman Archbishop, Thomas of Bayeux it was enhanced by Archbishop Roger who added a north transept and a south transept. Following many more alterations it was said to be complete and consecrated in the year 1472. Inside features the biggest medieval stained glass window in the world. York has many other places to visit including; the National Railway Museum, the Jorvik Viking Centre, Barley Hall, the Roman Bath Museum, Fairfax House, York Dungeon and York Castle Museum.

As well as all of the awesome historic and ancient tourist attractions mentioned above, the city of York is a thrilling place to enjoy a good evening out or experience the opera, theatre or live music. It that doesn’t thrill you then you could visit a pub instead there are certainly masses to choose from, including; The Royal Oak, The York Arms, Slug and Lettuce, the Old Star Inn and The Bluebell Inn, and, lastly, the Black Swan. Out of all the pubs the Black Swan is questionably the finest with a pleasant atmosphere and sometimes having live music.

B&B In York

As in most UK cities you will discover a huge selection of bed and breakfast in York ranging from cheap guest houses to five star hotels. The Middlethorpe Hall hotel is just 2 miles from the city centre but provides excellent bed and breakfast with private gardens, steam room, gym and sauna, and you can even get a massage. Other excellent York hotels include; Burn Hall Hotel, Parsonage Country House Hotel, Marriott on Tadcaster Road and Bishops at 135 Holgate Road and one of the finest guest houses is Crossways, or if you are searching for something different why not investigate Marmadukes Boutique Hotel.
