Have you ever wished that you could swim with dolphins in Hawaii? Well, at Sea Life Park Hawaii, a well-known Oahu marine park, you can. Recently acquired by Dolphin Discovery, it has expanded its activities and attractions, with a focus on interactive Dolphin activities!
Dolphin Cove, a beautiful ocean-side lagoon, with its very own island, hosts three interactive dolphin programs each day. Volunteers interact with dolphins in a close-up and educational adventure, as well as learn about daily dolphin life in all 3 activities.
Dolphin Encounter lets participants one year and older, the opportunity to pet, learn about, and even kiss friendly dolphins in a 45-minute program. Visitors can observe from a stage at waist-height, and learn about the intriguing world of dolphins as they carry out high-energy stunts and tricks.
Dolphin Swim Adventure, for 8 and older, lets participants join the dolphins and instructors who put on the 45-minute show. It not only includes an individual training session with the trainers, but a chance to see dolphins up-close and personal. Grab on tight, as the adventure comes to an end with a dolphin belly-ride, carrying the participant across the water’s surface. Dolphin Royal Swim is the best dolphin interactive program that can only be described as ‘invigorating and spectacular’. It includes what is called a “dorsal tow,” where two dolphins take participants on a ride as they hold on to their fins. The most breathtaking feature is the “foot push,” when guests can feel all the power and energy of these incredible marine mammals as they thrust them across the pool from the bottom of their feet.
Sea Life Park is just 15 miles from Waikiki, on the picturesque Makapuu Poin of Oahu. It is located between the magnificent Koolau Mountain Range and breathtaking Makapuu Beach, and has been since it opened in 1964. Do not let pass this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim with dolphins in Hawaii.
