Belfast City Airport has been renamed after a famous Irish footballer called George Best.
Passengers can take a number modes of transport from Belfast City Airport to the city centre and beyond.
Taxis
Visitors can take a wheelchair friendly taxi from the airport to their destination in the city centre for just under £10.00 GBP. The taxis outside the main airport building can be caught by passengers .
Buses
Passengers can catch the number three bus which is run by the metro bus service and can drop travellers off at the city hall in the centre. The train station is based at Sydenham which is roughly a five minute walk away from the terminal building. Passengers are advised that a short walk to the train station. The time table for the bus is fairly frequent through out the day.
Trains
There is no train station based at the airport. Passengers can walk or decide to take the bus shuttle to the train station at Sydenham. Connections to other destinations in Eire or elsewhere in Northern Ireland can be made by catching a twice hourly train.
Car
In around 10 minutes from the airport to the city centre. Drivers wishing to visit the city by car can do so as it is fairly close by at around 3 and half miles away. Once you leave the airport join the A2 that is the Sydeham Bypass then join the A20 which will lead you and your rental car into Belfast City Centre.

They can collect their hired vehicle from Belfast City Airport from a number of hire firms operating at the airport and drive into the city if they wish. The car rental companies offices are located inside the terminal building where customers would go to complete their paperwork. Near to the airport terminal building you can see where all the vehicles are collected and dropped off to a separate office.
