Cheap tickets for spring/summer 2012? Best airlines/travel sites?
I am planning on travelling from BOS to SEA in May/June, and I am looking for cheap tickets. Currently, Kayak, Travelocity, Priceline, Hotwire, Expedia all give me around $325 tickets. Southwest is an OUTRAGEOUS $655 (I thought they are a discount airline, eh?). Anyone know of some different sites/ways/airlines to buy tickets for a lower price than that? Maybe like…$240-250?
Also, does it make sense to buy now or wait a few weeks? I hear conflicting opinions that on one hand prices tend to increase, but on the other that there are more specials and low fares pop up closer to the departure date? Advice much appreciated!! Best answer 10 pts!
$325 roundtrip during the summer high season is a good price on that route, especially with the price of fuel where it is now. I would buy it asap if I were you.
